For as long as I can remember I have had a burning passion for health and fitness; at the age of 14 I started training my younger siblings.     I created my functional training when I started working as coach for several colleges to develop young athletes and help them reach their full potential.   I have also worked for many well known gyms in the greater Kansas City area and was able to make a positive impact on the health and fitness of many individuals.   I had a growing concern because my clients would get started training and do extremely well, but then they would have to discontinue the program due to the expenses of gym plus training.  In 2010, I started my own personal training business and my goal was to improve the confidence as well as the overall health and fitness of my clients that the average person could afford.  I offered my training services for $10.00 per hour and started my journey

with two committed clients, a few dumbbells and one speed bag.  I became known as the "Dollar Store Trainer".   The sessions I offered can be basic or very challenging in the sand which consist of pulling a sled with 30-50 pound weights or flipping 200-pound tires. Results are determined by the satisfaction my clients achieve when they see their accomplishments. When their friends and family want to sign up for one of my workout sessions, then I know my training does work and my new clients have a chance to be trained like athletes.

I have been a part of the Warhorse family for the last five years and it’s been life changing.  Warhorse is such a unique workout that gives you a full body workout every time.  The first summer I trained with Superpump I hit my goal weight and became stronger which was revealed through our monthly assessments.   One of the things I love about Warhorse is the “Group Training” where we develop strong relationships with the people in our group plus the accountability to show up and perform.  Last summer we started a Weight Loss Challenge and it has become one of my biggest passions in life.  We are now on our 6th challenge and it's helped so many people reach their goals, find their love for fitness, lose weight, stop taking medication for high blood pressure, they take their life back.  We felt the lacking piece of our program was the Nutrition so I recently received my certificate in nutrition to help others learn this is a life style change and NOT a 12 week diet.  I’m excited to see to see all the lives that will be changed in the coming year.
